Rooted from the hip hop tradition of the 70s, streetwear has had decades to morph from a small sub-style of fashion into the destiny and truth of what high fashion has grown to be alternatively ambiguous in each what defines streetwear and how precisely it has evolved into what we see nowadays, one component remains real, it has closely inspired and arguably taken over our tradition’s definition of “high style.” Brands such as Dior, Louis Vuitton, Vivienne Westwood have all recently relied on the streetwear culture and style to keep their brands alive.

Paris and Streetwear are two categories that carry some of the most interesting topics in talks of cultures and lifestyles. The combination of the two categories Parisian Street culture is in a cross-bred league of its own that rich in both history and potential.

Parisian Street Culture has been carving its own path along the supremely historic streets of the European city since the 1980’s the contrast of grungy oversized apparel next to the romantic City of Lights makes for a unique storyline for sure.

Allot of the styles that the photobloggers exhibit throughout Paris is ahead of the U.S. streetwear culture, which leads us to ask “Does Streetwear Trends Start In Paris?”
