The category of menswear continues to find ways to connect fashion to the omnipresent cocktail or wines and spirits in general. Fashion icons like Tom Ford, who once concluded his GUCCI Menswear Fall 2004 2005 runway show in Milan with a cocktail in hand, have subtly expressed this sentiment. Most recently, Jason Rembert has embraced these notes that have been a part of social culture since the beginning of time, finding sartorial inspiration in his favorite winter concoction through style and design.
Stylist and fashion designer Jason Rembert has teamed up with Baileys Original Irish Cream for an exclusive winter drop. High fashion and Irish cream liquor come together to create the Baileys Marshmallow Puffer Jacket, designed by Rembert's love for hot cocoa, mixed with the Baileys, and topped with a marshmallow. The marshmallow has actualized into a puffer, another favorite for Rembert during the winter.
“The puffer is like a glove. That's what I love about puffers,” Rembert admits. “It just makes you [feel] that hug when you put it on. It feels warm like, you know, Baileys during the wintertime in my hot cocoa or in my coffee. It feels like love.” The signature shape, texture, and color of the Baileys Marshmallow Puffer Jacket is what stands out with this collaborative piece.
“It felt young - it felt modern, it felt cool. And I wanted to approach this design with that. To not feel overdone but relatable - yet aspirational. My approach with this was a marshmallow as a focal point for this. And I wanted the fabrication to resemble a marshmallow, but not blatantly a marshmallow.”
