Written by PAGE Editor
Blurring the lines between creativity and individuality, this retail space, located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, is taking ranks in doing what they feel is right. Reselling vintage and some of the classic sneakers of the modern era while and producing their namesake line, at Barron, “no rules apply.”
The creative entity of the Barron brand is free to create whatever they imagine. Honing in on the styles that credibly represent 'OG' New Yorkers, founded by long time friends from Bushwick, find passion in curating a separate culture of streetwear to call their own.
Originally founded back in 2018, the Barron team has been driven by the desire to create daily looks that are both innovative and memorable. Focusing on individuality, the New York-based brand represents the culture of NYC and its aspiration for luxury.
Barron produces items from crew neck sweaters and sweatpants, with simple logo branding, denim jackets, hats, and the classic streetwear staple, the printed or embroidered t-shirt, to high-quality a track jacket that boast the brand name for all to see. From the local sourcing of fabrics and unique up-to-date styles, the brand continues to devote its energy to be at the forefront of style.
The incorporation of vintage streetwear items is somewhat the genius behind the brand.
They offer sneakers of rarity, and some much sought-after Supreme, and other resell worthy items for a generation of conscious consumers.
“Cozy and Comfortable”, how the Barron team describes the overall style of the brand. Inspired by hip-hop culture, gaining momentum, after Kanye West’s “Yeezy” first released, many brands have incorporated a looser fit with more flexibility and body-friendly materials. Barron continues to push more styles and designs each season and can all be found at the Brooklyn flagship store located at 79 West Street, Brooklyn.
Barron is inherently a Brooklyn establishment that is an authentic, pre-gentrified version of the neighborhood culture, one that millions occupy and call home today on the north side of the borough. Knowing that the Barron brand is representative of the last of the born and bred Brooklynites who lived and embrace their past of the ’90s and 2000’s era.
