The new Delina Leather Tote bag from Áwet New York will elevate your everyday style this holiday season. This tote bag has minimal design elements and is structured to stuff your items on your daily commute. The Delina Tote bag is crafted from bovine leather, creating a sleek design that defines versatility, quality, and style. The founder of the eponymous brand Áwet Woldegebriel has made a lane for the brand by deeming it “livewear” with essential pieces for easy wardrobe mixing and matching.
Founder and creative director Woldegebriel says, “every day we try to create and design pieces that enhance the life within you. Pieces that stick with you while you tackle the most important tasks in your life.” This season, the brand made its first expansion into ready-to-wear with puffer coats, down jackets, wool coats, and shirting, with more items available.
“This bag is for everyone making power moves. The tote can fit everything you need for a victorious day ahead,” Woldegebriel declares. The Áwet New York brand references its roots in Eritrea, where Woldegebriel’s father was a garment worker. A 30-year veteran tailor who owned a retail store in Eritrea, his father migrated from East Africa to the U.S.
His namesake is rooted in his culture, ‘Áwet’ meaning ‘victory’ in a native Eritrean language known as Tigrinya. There is a connective part of the design found in the brand DNA. The expansive collection of accessories and formal garments comes as inspiration from Safate, a vibrant-colored coiled bowl found in the homes of many Eritrean families.
