Glasses wearers have a lot in common, and the common spectacles experience ties us together even if we have nothing else in common.

While wearing glasses isn't the worst problem that ever occurred, humanity, it is nonetheless a problem. Please read on, bespectacled pals, and sympathize with us because certain things are only understood by ourselves.

1. Choosing eyeglasses is a significant life decision.

Buying eyeglasses is not like buying anything else, and it's a huge life decision that will bind you for at least a year. Wearing the same lousy clothing every day is analogous to sticking to the wrong set of spectacles.

People are constantly trying on your spectacles.

"Hey, I like your spectacles, and I'd like to try them on."

"Wow, you're completely deaf."

Yup.

The inability to see that in the dead of night. Is it a home invader or just the bookcase on either side of my room? It isn't easy to tell.

2. Steam is your adversary.

Anybody who wears glasses understands that starting washers or stoves without preparation is impossible. Workers in the hospitality industry have my heart, and it's even dangerous to eat and drink. Foggy glasses are caused by drinking hot beverages, eating soup, etc.

Eyeliner belongs in the "too difficult" category.

I, for one, am vision impaired to the point where I can't see your eyes in the image when putting on makeup. This means lipstick and eyeliner are only worn when using contact lenses. You can shop glasses online by visiting the glassesshop official website.

3. The anxiety of wearing contacts too frequently

There are so many horrific stories, and this and afterward is enough to turn you off for the rest of your life.

The sensation of first time wearing contacts can be both exhilarating and terrifying. It opens up a world where your face feels oddly bare yet your vision is unprecedentedly clear.

You almost forget how you appear without your spectacles. Your image weirds you off on the rare times you use contact lenses.  You frequently forget to use contact lenses and instead put on your spectacles. You'd think this would register that you can't see and must be wearing a visual aid. No, it appears not.

4. You are unable to see 3D films.

You can technically do it. You'll understand what I mean if you've ever sat through one or three movies wearing 3D spectacles on top of your normal glasses.

It's a fun game to switch glasses to determine who has the weakest vision.

We who wear spectacles are competitive people. The worst your vision is, the more praise you appear to get. My nearsightedness has reached a minus ten, and myopic people will recognize that as abysmal. Thus, I generally win this game.

Those handy cleaning cloths are quite difficult to get by. Who brings those cleaning clothes around? This implies that if you aren't wearing a T-shirt, your capacity to wipe your glasses is significantly limited. I've been tempted to clean my eyeglasses on the shirts of my coworkers. What is the purpose of work buddies?

5. The weather is not on your side.

I include all of the components when I say the weather. Rain Implies sight; humidity equals fogged lenses, and sun equals being unable to wear sunglasses.

Users spend a strange amount of time imagining what might have occurred if you were birthed before the invention of glasses.

According to the Museum of Vision, glasses were first recorded in Italy around 1268 and 1289. I'm not sure if it's just us, but I often wonder what our existence would be like if I had been born before 1268. Only one thing comes to mind: Thank Goodness for the Italians.

6. Your nose has red markings on it.

This is one of the many issues with glasses that everybody can relate to. The inventor of spectacles was a genius—the bridges in the middle allow you to use both eyeballs rather than just one. Then, in the 1700s, someone realized that merely having a bridge caused more problems with eyeglasses than it solved and suggested that ear rests could make these things even better. Imagine having neither ear rests and your spectacles resting just on your nose. That would have exacerbated the already numerous issues with eyewear.
