CIFF And STORM Are Reimagining What A Fashion Trade Platform Can Be
By PAGE Editor
Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF) is expanding its role beyond the traditional trade-fair model through a new strategic collaboration with STORM, bringing together two influential names in Danish fashion across retail, media, culture and international activations.
Beginning this autumn, CIFF x STORM will unfold across Copenhagen, Paris and CIFF’s wider international network. The partnership combines STORM founders Rasmus Storm and Line Storm, alongside Anton Storm, with CIFF’s global platform and international reach, creating new opportunities for brand discovery, commerce and cultural exchange.
For STORM, the collaboration marks a new chapter following the closure of its Copenhagen store. Rather than recreate the physical retail destination that established STORM as an influential force in international fashion and culture, the partnership will explore what the brand can become beyond the boundaries of a permanent address.
“Closing the store was about making room for a new chapter. We’d been doing it for a long time, and we wanted to explore something fresh while we still had the energy and curiosity to give it our all,” said Rasmus Storm, Founder of STORM. “Working with CIFF allows us to do things the industry might not expect. We’ve always been drawn to the intersection between creativity and commerce. There’s a tendency to treat them as separate worlds, but for us, the commercial side holds real creative potential. You can reshape it, move it forward and challenge people’s perceptions. That thinking has also always been part of the STORM store. Bringing a thoughtful creative perspective to something commercial can strengthen its identity. We enjoy questioning familiar formulas, playing with expectations and discovering what else is possible. It challenges us, too, and that’s what keeps it interesting.”
That philosophy has long defined STORM. Its Copenhagen store became a cultural meeting point through its distinctive ability to discover and curate emerging and established brands while cultivating relationships across fashion, art, music and creative culture. Through CIFF, that perspective will move into new settings and formats.
“The most exciting partnerships are the ones that challenge established ways of thinking,” said Sofie Dolva, Director of CIFF. “STORM has spent years redefining what a retailer can be, while CIFF is continuously evolving what a trade fair platform can become. This collaboration brings those ambitions together. It is part of our broader journey to create new connections between retail, media, culture and commerce, while offering our community new sources of inspiration and discovery. We believe platforms like ours have a responsibility not only to reflect where the industry is today, but to influence and help shape where it goes next.”
The partnership reflects CIFF’s broader strategy of working with influential retailers and concept stores, following collaborations with 10 Corso Como and CUEVA. By bringing retailers with distinct perspectives and communities into its ecosystem, CIFF is creating new ways for brands to connect with audiences beyond the traditional wholesale environment.
The first STORM x CIFF activations will take shape in Copenhagen and Amsterdam in November, where selected brands will be introduced to Nordic press and buyers alongside limited co-branded merchandise. In December, the collaboration will travel to New York as part of CIFF x CUEVA.
An editorial dimension will further extend the partnership through the STORM x CIFF Media universe. Three formats—The Storm Sessions, Rasmus Storm x CIFF Media On Location and CIFF Media: Follow the Storm—will explore the people, brands and cultural connections surrounding STORM and CIFF.
The Storm Sessions will launch this autumn, with Rasmus Storm engaging figures from fashion and culture in conversations spanning Copenhagen, fashion history, personal experiences and the people who have shaped his perspective. When CIFF returns to Paris in January, STORM will also become part of the platform’s growing presence in the city through selected brands, creative communities and physical experiences.
The partnership will come to life most fully at CIFF 68 in Copenhagen in February 2027, when STORM and CIFF will unveil a dedicated retail universe within the fair. Designed as an evolving modular concept rather than a permanent store, the space will bring together selected brands, products, collaborations and exclusive content, with participating brands and projects revealed progressively ahead of the fair.
Beyond CIFF 68, the collaboration will continue across future Copenhagen and international initiatives, supported by teasers, brand announcements, behind-the-scenes moments, events and interviews before culminating in a retrospective documenting the people, brands and outcomes of the project.
For CIFF, the partnership represents another step in its evolution from a traditional trade show into a broader fashion platform connecting wholesale, retail, media, culture and consumers. For STORM, it offers a way to preserve the spirit of its renowned retail universe while giving it new room to evolve.
In an industry increasingly shaped by community and cultural relevance, STORM x CIFF proposes a model where commerce and creativity are not opposing forces, but complementary ones.
The first chapter begins this autumn. The next takes shape at CIFF 68 in Copenhagen in February 2027.
