At Copenhagen Fashion Week, where Scandinavian design continues to redefine modern luxury through restraint, responsibility, and emotional storytelling, OpéraSPORT presents Growth, a Spring/Summer 2027 collection rooted in the quiet dialogue between nature and architecture.

Inspired by Carl Jacobsen’s Garden, a cultivated landscape where botanical elements coexist with structured design, the collection examines growth as both an organic process and an intentional act. For OpéraSPORT founders Stephanie Gundelach and Awa Malina Stelter, the garden becomes more than a backdrop—it becomes a framework for exploring transformation, continuity, and the relationship between the human form and the environments that shape it.

The collection reflects the layered character of a garden in motion. Structured pathways meet untamed growth, ornamental details reveal hidden symbolism, and every garment speaks to evolution over time. Much like nature itself, the pieces are designed to shift between states: controlled yet fluid, delicate yet resilient.

The botanical influences are translated through contrasting textures and silhouettes. The sharp, sculptural presence of thistle inspires architectural elements throughout the collection, while the softness of rhododendron blooms informs flowing fabrics, delicate layering, and feminine movement. The result is a wardrobe built around duality—where strength does not overpower softness, but exists alongside it.

OpéraSPORT’s signature balance of femininity and functionality is elevated through sculptural tailoring, seamless ribbed designs, and fluid draping that follows the body naturally. Sheer layers, lace detailing, and lightweight materials create moments of reveal and concealment, mirroring the hidden spaces found within the garden’s landscape. Dresses cascade with movement, skirts take on dimensional form, and tailored pieces are softened through thoughtful construction.

Presented on August 3 during Copenhagen Fashion Week within Carl Jacobsen’s Garden, the collection becomes intertwined with its inspiration. Architecture, greenery, and natural light serve as part of the creative expression, allowing the garments to unfold within the same environment that shaped their identity. The presentation moves from restrained minimalism toward more expressive volumes, reflecting the gradual rhythm of growth itself.

The color palette follows the tonal language of the garden: muted greens, pale floral shades, earthy neutrals, and deeper accents inspired by botanical structures. Each hue contributes to the collection’s broader conversation between softness and strength, creating a visual landscape where refinement meets organic imperfection.

Beyond its aesthetic evolution, Growth reinforces OpéraSPORT’s continued commitment to responsible design. The collection incorporates recycled and organic materials, further developing the brand’s approach to thoughtful production while maintaining its distinct visual identity. Sustainability remains embedded within the creative process rather than existing as an afterthought.

The collection’s casting also reflects the brand’s philosophy of individuality, bringing together street-cast talent alongside established faces to represent a diverse and authentic expression of modern femininity. Beauty details complete the vision, with hair by Hanna Ramirez using Iles Formula and makeup created with M.A.C Cosmetics Nordics.

With Growth, OpéraSPORT explores fashion as something alive—garments that evolve with the wearer, adapt through time, and exist between permanence and change. The Spring/Summer 2027 collection positions the brand’s Copenhagen sensibility within a broader conversation around sustainability, craftsmanship, and the future of contemporary luxury.

OpéraSPORT SS27 launches online and in stores beginning February 2027.
