Depop And Amelia Dimoldenberg Bring Chicken Shop Date Style To Secondhand Fashion
By PAGE Editor
Fashion has always played a supporting role in the appeal of Chicken Shop Date, where host Amelia Dimoldenberg’s unconventional approach to celebrity interviews is matched by a wardrobe that feels equally considered. Now, as the popular interview series prepares for its final installment, Dimoldenberg is partnering with Depop to give fans a closer look at the fashion behind the deadpan humor.
The collaboration brings together entertainment, personal style, and circular fashion through a series of curated Chicken Shop Date Edits and an exclusive wardrobe drop featuring pieces from Dimoldenberg’s personal collection. The initiative offers fans an opportunity to explore the distinctive vintage finds, tailored separates, and playful styling that have become part of the show's visual identity.
Launching November 6, the Depop edits will coincide with episodes from the final series, with dedicated shopping destinations across the marketplace's app and website. Developed alongside Dimoldenberg and her stylist, Chloe Griffin, the collections will feature secondhand listings from independent Depop sellers, drawing inspiration from Dimoldenberg's signature outfits and the fashion sensibilities of her celebrity guests. Rather than simply reproducing individual looks, the selections invite consumers to reinterpret the styling through their own wardrobes.
"Getting dressed for a date is part of the fun, especially if you're meeting at a chicken shop,” said Dimoldenberg. Reflecting on the show's 12-year run, she described fashion as an integral part of the persona she has developed as host, making the opportunity to share pieces from her wardrobe a natural extension of the series.
The partnership will also extend beyond the marketplace. Dimoldenberg will wear exclusively Depop-sourced looks for the fifth episode of the final series and a special New York cinema premiere celebrating the show's conclusion. On November 12, her personal Depop Shop Drop will introduce select wardrobe pieces, including recognizable outfits worn throughout Chicken Shop Date. For longtime viewers, the release offers a chance to own a tangible piece of the show's fashion history.
For Depop, the partnership reinforces the cultural relevance of secondhand fashion beyond its traditional associations with affordability and vintage collecting. By connecting an established digital entertainment personality with its community of independent sellers, the marketplace continues to position resale as a means of individual expression rather than simply an alternative to buying new.
"Amelia’s sense of style is an intrinsic part of the world she’s built with Chicken Shop Date,” said Steve Dool, Senior Director of Brand and Creative at Depop.
As Chicken Shop Date approaches its farewell, the collaboration gives its audience another way to engage with the series. The interviews may be coming to an end, but the clothes, references, and personal style that helped define its identity have an opportunity for a second life.
