Paris Fashion Week: The French Footwear Edit Pop-Up Lands At Neighborhood Goods
By PAGE Editor
A delegation of 6 high-end and luxury French shoe brands will display their products at the French Footwear Edit exclusive pop-up store event hosted by Neighborhood Goods in Chelsea Market. With shoes ranging from leather boots to high heels and espadrilles, the pop-up offers a complete compilation of fine French footwear manufacturers.
As part of an initiative spearheaded by the French Footwear Federation and co-organized by Business France, 6 French brands will be featured in a pop-up store at Neighborhood Goods in Chelsea Market. Just in time for Paris Fashion Week, The French Edit pop-up will run for 4 weeks starting on October 1, 2022, and will highlight the diversity of French craftsmanship in shoes with a variety of options from activewear, luxury, formal, and casual shoe brands.
As Americans return to the office and in-person events, the French Footwear Edit aims to meet the demand for quality footwear by providing a selection of shoes for the discerning American customer with products such as Arche’s colorful flats, Avril Gau’s exquisite leather booties, Anthology’s timeless styles, and Pare Gabia’s elegant espadrilles. The store will also feature many eco-friendly options, such as Etre Amis, which uses recycled or upcycled materials to promote sustainability, or Craie studio, which uses certified GOTS and OekoTex materials.
Ideally located in the heart of Chelsea Market, one of the most highly trafficked shopping areas of NYC, Neighborhood Goods offers an alternative department store that will allow customers and buyers to fully experience the French brands in person.
“We are delighted to work with Neighborhood Goods to showcase all that the French footwear sector has to offer” says Michelle Guilloux-Bonnet, Head of the French Footwear Federation. “This pop up store is an excellent opportunity to present a selection of brands that truly illustrate the exquiste craftsmanship available amongst French footwear companies; a sector that represents over 200 companies and over 14 million pairs of shoes ‘Made in France’ annually. The French Edit aims to promote this expertise internationally, with the support of our organizational partner Business France”
The French Footwear Edit will be launched on October 1st and celebrated at a kick-off cocktail hour on Wednesday, October 12th at 5:30 pm at the Chelsea location. Customers and industry professionals can try on the products in person at the Neighborhood Goods store on 9th Ave, and the brands will be available for meetings throughout their visit.
