Laced, the online marketplace that connects buyers and sellers of rare and exclusive sneakers, has recently found the most valuable trainers available on their platform, providing a glimpse into the high demand for rare items and the thriving sneaker landscape.
As the sneaker industry continues to skyrocket - with Statista predicting that the sector will be worth over $100B by 2026 - the price for that perfect pair grows too. Below are some of the most valuable sneakers on Laced as of 27th July 2023.
Dior x Air Jordan 1 Low - $29,595: An iconic collaboration between the two brands, this sneaker comes complete with a Nike swoosh made unique by the Dior-logo fabric, and the fashion label printed on the soft blue rubber sole. The original Air Jordan wing logo gets a revamp with a stylish Air Dior.
Nike Air Force 1 Low x Louis Vuitton by Virgil Abloh Metallic Gold - $26,305: Constructed using premium materials, a glossy gold upper embossed with the iconic Louis Vuitton monogram sets the shoe apart. A hollow Swoosh, marked by textured stitching, completes the branding alongside the all-important ‘Louis Vuitton Air’ tab to the side of the tongue.
Dior x Air Jordan 1 High - $24,990: Combining two powerhouses in their own industry, this sneaker is the perfect representation of what can be done when luxury fashion meets a sportswear giant. The result is an extremely stylish and branded design that includes the best of Dior without compromising on the classic Air Jordan design.
NikeCraft Mars Yard 2.0 x Tom Sachs - $19,730: Launched in June 2017 and inspired by Tom Sachs's work with NASA scientists, the trainer consists of an off-white mesh upper with maple-coloured nubuck panels, a Sports Red Swoosh, and red pull tabs on the heel and tongue. With the message which reads "These shoes are only valid if worn, and worn to death by you. Posers need not apply." it’s clear Tom Sachs has intended this pair to be a living art installation, one that should be enjoyed for what they are, trainers to be worn.
Nike Air Force 1 Low x Louis Vuitton By Virgil Abloh White Royal - $19,355: The white leather base is subtly embossed with LV’s signature monogram print, whilst blue canvas overlays sporting the same monogram pattern further decorate the two-toned design. Gold Louis Vuitton lettering details the inner sidewall and heel tab, crafting the pair with a hint of high-end luxury.
Air Yeezy 2 SP Red October - $19,075: Released in 2014, it is part of the only two silhouettes Ye made with Nike and the sneakers sold out within seconds of its exclusive online launch. Aside from the bold all-red hue, the only other colour in sight is the metallic gold lace tips, which pop against the monochromatic design.
Nike Air Force 1 Low x Louis Vuitton By Virgil Abloh White - $17,760: Its all-white leather upper is subtly embossed with a classic LV monogram which gives this ‘80s basketball silhouette a luxurious edge. A Swoosh is stitched into the side whilst gold Louis Vuitton lettering further decorates the inner sidewall, heel and tongue tab. The reliable Air-cushioned midsole is complete with Abloh’s signature Helvetica text detailing which blends into its monochrome makeup.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High x Off-White - $16,445: Deliberately looks half-finished in some of its detailing, visible blue stitching, "Air" text printed on the midsole and a zip-tie let everyone know this is an Off-White collaboration. Taking a product as overwhelmingly popular as the Air Jordan 1, and breathing new life into it in a way only Virgil could, means this trainer is a must-have.
Nike Air Force 1 Low x Louis Vuitton By Virgil Abloh White Green - $16,445: First teased in the Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2022 runway show, the shoe features premium green overlays embossed with the luxury fashion house’s signature monogram print wrap.
Nike Dunk High Red October - $15,785: The Red October colorway made famous by the Air Yeezy 2 has returned atop a number of releases by Nike. The newest of which is this pair of Nike Dunk Highs, coming complete with lifestyle suede across the swoosh branding, toecap, and ankle support.
