The Frankie Shop Marks 10 Years With an Insider-Filled Paris Fashion Week Celebration

In an industry that thrives on spectacle, the most memorable fashion moments are often the most intimate. During Paris Fashion Week, The Frankie Shop chose precisely that approach—celebrating its 10-year milestone not with a runway, but with a gathering that reflected the brand’s quiet influence on modern style.
On March 8, the New York–Paris label hosted an anniversary party at Le Saint Gervais in the city’s Marais district. The venue—known for its distinctly Parisian atmosphere and resistance to fleeting trends—mirrored the sensibility that has defined the brand since its founding: confident, understated and intentionally outside the churn of fashion cycles.
Founded by Gaëlle Drevet, the label emerged from New York’s Lower East Side in 2015 with a focused vision—clothing designed for women who want to feel like themselves. That ethos quickly translated into a recognizable aesthetic: oversized tailoring, clean lines and a balance between ease and precision that made The Frankie Shop synonymous with contemporary power dressing.
For the anniversary celebration, the invitations themselves hinted at the brand’s thoughtful minimalism. Guests received custom embroidered vintage French torchons—traditional kitchen cloths—stitched with the details of the evening. It was a subtle gesture that blended heritage and wit, much like the brand’s own mix of Parisian restraint and New York practicality.
Inside, the night unfolded organically. Rather than elaborate staging, the creative direction allowed the room to set its own rhythm. Editors, stylists, designers and longtime collaborators mingled freely, joined by cultural figures including Jameela Jamil, James Blake, Eva Chen and Tiffany Hsu.
The guest list read like fashion’s creative ecosystem in motion. Industry voices such as Bryan Yambao, Susie Lau, Grece Ghanem and Francesca Ragazzi circulated alongside stylists and emerging creatives, creating a room that felt less like a formal event and more like fashion’s extended inner circle reconnecting between shows.
The evening’s menu was conceived by Zélikha Dinga of Caro Diario, who crafted a series of refined bites that echoed The Frankie Shop’s pared-back aesthetic—minimal, thoughtful and quietly elegant.
As the night progressed, the atmosphere shifted. The bar gradually gave way to a dance floor when French disco pioneer Cerrone appeared behind the decks for a surprise 90-minute DJ set, transforming the gathering into something closer to an after-hours celebration than a fashion party.
The brand also used the anniversary to introduce a playful nod to its New York roots. A classic yellow taxi circulated through the Paris Fashion Week circuit, transporting guests between shows while doubling as the stage for a backseat interview series hosted by Hanan Besovic of Ideservecouture, capturing candid conversations with fashion insiders along the way.
The gesture reflected what has long made The Frankie Shop resonate beyond trend cycles. In a market crowded with maximal branding, Drevet’s concept has always leaned toward clarity—design that feels both polished and relaxed, Parisian yet unmistakably New York.
Ten years in, that balance has carried the brand from a Lower East Side storefront to a multinational concept store with locations in both New York and Paris, along with distribution in leading European department stores. The 2022 launch of its men’s and unisex collections further expanded its vision, reinforcing an inclusive, quietly confident identity.
If the anniversary party proved anything, it’s that The Frankie Shop’s cultural footprint is less about spectacle and more about community. The evening unfolded exactly the way insiders prefer: spontaneous, creative and slightly unpredictable—an atmosphere that felt less like a milestone celebration and more like the continuation of a conversation that began a decade ago.
